Announcements
ALL CITY BAND AUDITIONS JAN. 9-13
January 2, 2017

Dear School 3 Band Parents,

During the week of January 9-13, all intermediate and advanced band students will be eligible to audition for All City Band!

All City Band is an honors band composed of band students from all four elementary schools. The band will be a large ensemble with a full instrumentation of flutes, clarinets, bass clarinets, alto and tenor saxophones, trumpets, trombones, baritones and percussion. Because the All City Band is made up of the most hardworking and motivated musicians from grades 4-6, the music will be more challenging than the music your child plays in his/her school band.

Interested students will have an individual audition at school on their usual band day. Auditions will be during lunch or after school. A signup sheet for auditions was posted today.

If your child is accepted into All City Band, you will receive a letter and permission slip by Friday, January 13. Details are below.

All City Band

When: Every Wednesday 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Where: Middle School band room
Start date: Wednesday, January 18, 2017
Transportation: Your own car, or carpools with friends for students whose parents cannot drive them to All City Band rehearsals.

Audition requirement: Essential Elements Book 1
p. 18, #90
p. 31, #160
